FBI Director James Comey addressed the assertion by Donald J. Trump of wire tapping of him and his building (Trump Tower) during the 2016 presidential campaign.
Terrible! Just found out that Obama had my "wires tapped" in Trump Tower just before the victory. Nothing found. This is McCarthyism!

Speaking before the House Intelligence Committee, Comey effectively called bullshit on Trump’s Tweets.
Under questioning by Adam Schiff (CA), Comey stated that no president could order such surveillance. This statement ensured everyone in the room or watching on TV understood the lunacy of Trump’s claim.
But Comey wasn’t done poking Trump. He took the unusual step (perhaps not so unusual anymore considering Comey’s recent behavior) of acknowledging the existence of a counterintelligence investigation into the Russian government’s efforts to interfere in the 2016 election. Comey explained that the investigation is exploring links between Trump campaign associates and the Russian government.
Altogether not a good day for Team Trump.
